Intoxicating Catnip

you go on
doing your thing
minding your business
suddenly a connection is made
you become an all consuming interest
to someone far away
they bask in your smile
they love your lips
all the way down
past the hips
long red hair
almond eyes
somethings makes them forget they are shy
they hound you night and day
sitting around hoping and praying that you finally give them the time of day
they act funny around you
like catnip to a kitty
playful and pouncing
Suddenly they get the call
ghosts from the past summon them home
the catnip toy sits abandon
losing all of it's intoxicating powers
she was really a just a thrill
for the moment
